David P. Kalm
President and Chief Executive Officer
David P. Kalm, RMTS’ President and Chief Executive Officer, joined the Company in 1999. The Company has enjoyed significant growth over the past decade, having evolved from its origins as a regional player in the medical stop loss arena to become a national leader in the field. RMTS also entered the group life and AD&D marketplace in 2002 through a partnership with New York Life. In 2004, as the Company continued to expand nationally, RMTS added Nationwide Insurance Company to its stable of long-standing medical stop carrier partners, Trustmark Insurance Company and Gerber Life Insurance Company.
Most recently, in 2008, the Company drew on its stop loss and reinsurance backgrounds and its intimate knowledge of the unique challenges facing the nation’s financial sector to create a unique lender-placed hazard product for its financial institution partners. This product is offered through RMTS’ subsidiary, Hudson Servicing Solutions, LLC. Before coming to RMTS, Dave practiced law with the New York firm of LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae, LLP, where he specialized in insurance and reinsurance matters.
Dave received his Juris Doctorate degree from Seton Hall University School of Law, where he was a twice-published member and associate editor of the Seton Hall Law Review. He received his BA from Rutgers University with a double major in History and English Literature. Dave is a member of the New York and the New Jersey Bars.
